Elementary Parking Notice will be coming home with your student(s).

Deckerville Elementary
Parking NOTICE - Effective Monday 9-26-2022
Due to safety concerns for our students when arriving to school in the a.m., please follow a couple of reminders to keep everyone safe.
• DO NOT park in the fire lane OR leave vehicle unattended
• PLEASE park your vehicle in a parking space if you are entering the building
These reminders will place our students in a safer situation for unloading and loading, where they do not have to cross half of the driveway to enter the building. We cannot continue to park 3 cars deep in the driveway.
Adults sometimes have to help bring in projects or birthday treats or quickly run into the office and drop off lunch, gym clothes, or even homework. If this is the case, please park in a parking space. We do not have an ideal drop off / pick up location and we have brainstormed alternate options and every option has drawbacks (we may try an option or two and let it playout for a while to observe and collect data, which also may cause frustration because of multiple changes in morning routine).
If you have questions or concerns, please contact me at the Elementary Office. Thank you in advance for your continued patience while work on an effective solution.
Respectfully,
Matthew Connelly, Principal
