RE: Extra Precautions
Date: March 1st, 2019
Yesterday afternoon, a “threat” was found in the boys’ bathroom across from the high school gym. Although the threat was poorly composed and misspelled, it clearly involved the word “shooter” and the date of March 1st. The words were quickly erased, and the incident was investigated by Mr. Connelly. Mr. Connelly concluded that the threat was not credible. Although Chief Willis and I do not feel that a lock down is necessary, in light of recent events, we feel that extra precautions are warranted. To that end, we have asked for police presence on campus today. I have also informed our offices and kitchen staff, and cancelled outdoor recess for today. Teachers, if you have an outdoor egress in your classroom, please be sure it is secured. Thank you for your vigilance.
