Good evening. This is Michael Hugan, Superintendent of Deckerville Community Schools. I am calling to thank our school community for all the support from you that we have received during these unprecedented times. Our food distribution, which ended on June 3rd, was a success, and we were able to provide two meals per day to families throughout the last quarter of the regularly scheduled school year.
I would also like to inform you that at this time, school is scheduled to resume with a normal schedule at the end of August. Although we have received little guidance as to what will be required of us in terms of safety against communicable diseases such as COVID-19, our administration has formed a team that has been meeting and planning to deal with several different opening scenarios, including providing education in a more coordinated and consistent manner in case of another prolonged shutdown.
Please check our live feed and Facebook page regularly for important instructions regarding picking up personal student belongings and other information.
COVID-19 notwithstanding, we still consider the 2019-2020 school year to be an overall success, and are looking forward to the return of our students. I am proud to live and work in such a supportive, strong, and resilient community. Thank you, and have a great evening!

Here is important information regarding Deckerville Community School's 2020 bond proposal.
